Mechanical Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Operate under the guidance of the Mechanical OFCI Director

• Assess consultant packages

• Develop and uphold mechanical OFCI specifications

• Conduct submittal reviews and oversee factory witness tests

• Revise the basis of design

• Assist in the creation of new cooling designs

• Travel domestically approximately 50% of the time

• Work in and around active data center construction sites

• Liaise with contractors, engineers, site personnel, clients, and stakeholders

• Generate written reports and documentation

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

• At least 2 years of experience in data centers

• Proficient in Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint

• Familiarity with AutoCAD

• Proficient in Bluebeam

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat

• Experience with chiller plants, CRAH/CRAC units, fan walls, CDU systems, and liquid loops

• Willingness to travel 50% domestically; preference for Central/East Coast

• Valid driver's license suitable for the role and eligibility to operate a motor vehicle, as on-site presence or inter-location travel is a key function

• Proven professional written and verbal communication abilities

• Capability to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, climb stairs or ladders, and navigate through active construction environments

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on occasion

• Competence to drive between job sites and access active construction zones, raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces

• Tolerance for outdoor conditions, including dust, noise, vibrations, and odors

• Required personal protective equipment includes hard hat, safety vest, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots

• Adequate visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage

• Professional Engineer (PE) designation is beneficial but not mandatory
