This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Oversee the construction of geothermal power plants across various installation sites.
• Provide specialized mechanical industrial construction knowledge.
• Create work plans and monitor the progress of construction activities.
• Review and execute mechanical design drawings and specifications.
• Assist with project scheduling and evaluations for the development of third-party contract bids.
• Ensure quality assurance for all mechanical installations.
• Manage multiple tasks of high complexity.
• Supervise mechanical construction teams, including both company personnel and subcontractors.
• Oversee formal planning, monitoring, and reporting processes.
• Engage in contractor and subcontractor bidding, including the review and assessment of bids.
• Address the needs of the construction organization.
• Support local permitting and regulatory processes.
• Apply relevant mechanical, safety, and environmental codes and regulations during project execution.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
• An associate degree is preferred.
• Proven experience in construction management.
• Capability to take initiative and be responsible for both individual and team results.
• Ability to comprehend procedures and instructions effectively.
• Skill in motivating oneself and others to set and achieve high-performance standards.
• Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak English at a level that allows for safe and efficient job performance.
• Proficient in using and acquiring knowledge of computer software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
• Skilled in MS Word, Excel, and internet usage.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record that adheres to Ormat's Safe Driving policy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• Capable of navigating and working in remote field locations and outdoors under challenging weather conditions.
• Ability to walk, hike, and work on steep and rough terrain for prolonged periods.
• Competent in safely operating 4WD light vehicles on highways and off-road.
• Ability to frequently climb ladders and work from elevated platforms, ladders, and walkways.
• Required to wear protective equipment and fire-retardant clothing when necessary.
• Must be available to work weekends and/or holidays as needed.
• Must be willing to work overtime as required.
• Must be able to travel extensively, including internationally and to rural areas, sometimes with extended durations away from home.
• Extensive travel opportunities, including international and rural areas.
• Additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
