This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in research-level physics challenges within the applicant's specific subfield.
• Develop, analyze, review, or evaluate benchmark problems based on publication record relevance.
• Deliver research-quality output with comprehensive written explanations.
• Tackle issues related to special functions, integrable systems, permutation combinatorics for random tensor network entanglement, or conformal geometry.
• Utilize pertinent analytical, integrability, combinatorial, or geometric techniques.
• Submit representative papers and self-attestation of methods during the application process.
• Contribute to the verification of papers and authorship against the public record.
• Complete onboarding or a brief live alignment call to confirm the area and assignment.
• Possibly undertake a 30–45 minute assessment if required.
• Work remotely and asynchronously on designated projects.
• Collaborate with leading researchers on AI training initiatives.
• PhD in mathematical physics, theoretical physics, or mathematics (mandatory requirement).
• Published research on at least one specified phenomenon, not just a related area.
• A verifiable publication history with three to five representative papers, ideally as the first author, including arXiv IDs or DOIs.
• Postdoctoral researchers, research scientists, junior faculty, or senior PhD students with a strong first-author publication record.
• Proven expertise in at least one of the following areas: special functions, integrable systems, permutation combinatorics for random tensor network entanglement, or conformal geometry.
• Proficiency in LaTeX, Python, SymPy, and Jupyter.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, encompassing written reasoning.
• Capability to provide thorough written reasoning that specialists can independently verify.
• Familiarity with an agentic coding extension in VS Code is advantageous but acceptable to lack if disclosed honestly.
• Must be able to commit 10 hours each week over an 8–10 week period, starting immediately.
• Must operate as an independent contractor.
• H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported.
• Remote and asynchronous work with no fixed hours.
