This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage with research-level physics challenges within your specific subfield.
• Develop, resolve, review, or evaluate physics problems based on your publication history and relevant subfield.
• Generate comprehensive written explanations that can be independently followed and validated by another expert.
• Utilize specialized techniques in special function analysis, integrability, combinatorics, or conformal geometry.
• Identify up to five appropriate areas and provide an arXiv ID or DOI for each supporting publication, including author position and demonstrated methodologies.
• Fill out the application form that includes essential information, educational background, research experience, and method self-attestation.
• Engage in onboarding or a brief live alignment call to confirm your area and assignment.
• Complete a 30–45 minute assessment if deemed necessary.
• Collaborate on projects aimed at training and advancing cutting-edge AI systems.
• Possession of a PhD in mathematical physics, theoretical physics, or mathematics (mandatory requirement).
• Published research on at least one specified phenomenon: special functions, integrable systems, permutation combinatorics for random tensor network entanglement, or conformal geometry.
• A verifiable publication record featuring three to five representative papers, including arXiv IDs or DOIs, preferably from the last five years.
• Strong preference for candidates with first-author publication experience.
• Proficient in LaTeX, Python, SymPy, and Jupyter.
• Familiarity with an agentic coding extension in VS Code is advantageous.
• English proficiency at a B2 level or higher, encompassing written reasoning capabilities.
• Ability to produce thorough, independently verifiable written reasoning.
• Postdoctoral researchers, research scientists, junior faculty, and senior PhD students with a robust first-author publication record are encouraged to apply.
• Must be able to allocate 10 hours per week over an 8–10 week period, starting immediately.
• Independent contractor status is required.
