Master Level HIM Adj, Medical Coding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Teach assigned courses within the specified program.

• Facilitate bi-weekly live sessions via Zoom for each course.

• Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate office hours and one-on-one meetings.

• Provide students with timely updates and feedback regarding their academic performance on quizzes, tests, homework, and projects.

• Engage in outreach efforts to enhance involvement with at-risk students.

• Keep accurate and current records of student attendance and academic performance.

• Submit final grades in accordance with university policies.

• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as required.

• Stay informed about advancements in the instructional field.

• Fulfill additional responsibilities as outlined in the faculty job description, standard operating procedures, and university policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Medical Science, or a related discipline is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Health Information Management, Coding, or Revenue Cycle is required.

• Coding certification is mandatory (CCS, CPC, CCS-P, or a related medical coding certification).

• RHIA or RHIT certification is preferred.

• Previous experience in online teaching is a plus.

• Proficiency in working in a virtual environment using multiple software applications simultaneously, including MS Office, Canvas, and Zoom.
