This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Manage medical coding and data entry/abstraction for Hospital (Acute) In-patient visits.
β’ Code CABG (cardiac), orthopedic, and medical cases.
β’ Utilize the 3M 360 Encoder HDM to enhance the coding and billing workflow.
β’ Precisely assign ICD-10-CM and PCS primary and secondary diagnosis and procedure codes based on documentation and site-specific guidelines and policies.
β’ Accurately determine the DRG.
β’ Generate compliant queries for physicians.
β’ Examine claims for medical necessity.
β’ Update problem lists in accordance with client contracts.
β’ Correctly assign present on admission indicators.
β’ Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and colleagues.
β’ Adapt and float between various sites and coding specialties with flexibility and ease.
β’ Execute other job-related responsibilities as necessary, adhering to relevant regulations including HIPAA and ERISA.
β’ Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
β’ AHIMA or AAPC certification is REQUIRED.
β’ Actively holds one or more of the following credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, COC.
β’ Required experience in coding CABG, orthopedic, and medical cases.
β’ Required experience with 3M 360 Encoder HDM.
β’ Must meet or exceed Quality and Productivity standards.
β’ Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and interpersonal abilities.
β’ Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
β’ Attention to detail and ability to follow through on issues to resolution are essential.
β’ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is required.
