Clinical Data Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Accurately code medical terms and medications in line with MedDRA, WHO Drug, and company standards.

• Oversee the assignment of suitable dictionaries to fulfill study requirements.

• Create and maintain coding guidelines.

• Review and contribute to the Coding section of the Data Management Plan.

• Conduct dictionary up-versioning and update synonym lists as necessary.

• Validate and test the coding setup and the programming of coding reports.

• Test databases, edit specifications, or perform related programming tasks as required.

• Carry out data reviews.

• Draft and resolve data clarifications.

• Adhere to core operating procedures and work instructions.

• Execute additional duties as assigned by the Lead Data Manager.

• Achieve assigned objectives.

• Foster and maintain effective communication and working relationships with the Data Management team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in pharmacy, life sciences, or a related field.

• Medical or nursing qualification with two years of relevant experience, or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Medical Terminology.

• In-depth understanding of Medical Dictionaries utilized for coding, such as MedDRA and WHODD.

• Experience in clinical trials or the pharmaceutical sector is preferred.

• Familiarity with and experience in the query management process.

• Ability to work flexibly on multiple projects and proactively manage time to meet deadlines.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Capacity to thrive in a global team environment.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Good understanding of good clinical practices along with relevant Health Canada and FDA regulations/guidelines.

• Must have legal eligibility to work in the Philippines.
