Master Data Developer, Amazon Neptune

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Define labels for graph nodes and types of edges that represent designers, garments, style attributes, trends, occasions, and editorial articles.

• Develop batch ingestion workflows for structured JSON payloads into Amazon Neptune.

• Implement probabilistic entity matching through attribute overlap, confidence scoring, and deduplication across articles.

• Assign weight to editorial relationships based on prominence to enhance AI-agent recommendations.

• Design and optimize openCypher traversal queries, including multi-hop queries, ensuring sub-three-second retrieval times.

• Collaborate with Machine Learning and GenAI Agent Developers to address graph structure and recommendation requirements.

• Assist in conducting technical interviews and validating new members of the graph database team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English at an advanced level (C1 or above), with the ability to communicate independently with international stakeholders.

• Extensive experience with Amazon Neptune and the property graph data model.

• Proven experience in writing and optimizing openCypher queries, including multi-hop traversals under latency constraints.

• Experience in designing graph schemas and assessing modeling trade-offs.

• Expertise in building entity resolution logic, which includes fuzzy matching, scoring algorithms, and deduplication across various data sources.

• Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering and processing structured data payloads in batches.

• Capability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with an established client team.

• Previous experience in fashion, retail, or e-commerce catalogs is a plus.

• AWS certification in databases or data analytics is desirable.

• Experience in integrating graph databases with generative AI agents, such as Amazon Bedrock Agents, is advantageous.

• Familiarity with recommendation systems or ranking/weighting logic for content surfacing is a nice-to-have.
