This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Examine surveys for methodological integrity, clarity, and suitability for their intended purpose.
• Evaluate whether survey questions successfully meet the specified research goals.
• Detect leading language, ambiguity, double-barreled questions, and problematic response options.
• Assess the structure of questionnaires, the order of questions, and the burden on respondents.
• Suggest practical enhancements to improve survey quality.
• Review screeners, eligibility criteria, survey progression, skip logic, display logic, branching, response scales, and questionnaire sequencing.
• Identify inconsistencies or structural flaws that may influence respondent behavior and the reliability of results.
• Recognize potential biases related to sampling, measurement, response, and selection.
• Analyze wording, order effects, contextual influences, and validity threats.
• Review respondent recruitment methods, fielding techniques, sampling strategies, quotas, sample composition, respondent panels, screening methodologies, and data quality controls.
• Determine whether surveys yield valuable insights for business, policy, product, or research decisions.
• Evaluate relevant behavioral, UX, customer, polling, social, policy, mixed-methods, and experimental research choices.
• Critically assess methodological decisions and the reasoning behind research.
• Identify flaws in survey design and provide structured justifications.
• Recommend specific, actionable enhancements.
• Review AI-generated survey materials and research reasoning against established professional research standards.
• Assess ambiguity, bias, respondent burden, and measurement quality in generated questionnaires.
• Offer clear rationales for suggested corrections or improvements.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in survey research, market research, consumer insights, behavioral science, UX research, or a closely related domain.
• Significant hands-on experience in designing and/or administering surveys professionally.
• Strong grasp of questionnaire design and common sources of survey error and bias.
• Experience with respondent panels, sampling strategies, screeners, quotas, or survey fieldwork is highly advantageous.
• Strong capability to critically assess survey methodology and articulate the strengths or weaknesses of specific design choices.
• Excellent written communication skills and analytical judgment.
• High attention to detail and comfort handling incomplete or ambiguous information.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer, Decipher/Forsta, QuestionPro, or similar research tools is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Work must be performed without utilizing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this engagement.
• Part-time independent contractor position.
• Fully remote work environment.

• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project demands and performance.
