Market Manager – Southeast Region

📋 Description

• Regularly visit retail locations to assist with merchandising and product positioning

• Ensure that products adhere to planograms and company guidelines

• Provide immediate suggestions to enhance product placement, shelf visibility, and promotional execution

• Identify opportunities for improved shelf space, visibility, and overall performance

• Engage with store associates and management regarding products and sales strategies

• Assess execution priorities at the store level based on sales performance, merchandising gaps, product availability, and opportunities for growth

• Foster store-level product knowledge and build confidence

• Act as the main field contact for designated stores

• Evaluate store needs and propose actions to Retail Operations Managers and retail leaders

• Collaborate with Retail Operations Managers on new store openings, product launches, and training requirements

• Identify barriers to execution, outline next steps, and escalate issues that need cross-functional support

• Assist with the introduction and expansion of new products in stores

• Support new store locations and increased coverage

• Prioritize field support and store coverage within the assigned market

• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and retail operations teams

• Contribute to regional events, promotions, and store resets

• Attend retailer meetings and calls as necessary


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in retail, sales, or store-level training

• Ability to analyze sales data, store observations, and partner feedback to make decisions and recommendations at the territory level

• Preferred experience working directly with retail stores or in field-based environments

• Approximately 80% travel required

• Expect to have 3 to 4 overnight stays during most weeks

• Ability to work autonomously and manage a field-based territory

• Strong communication skills; comfortable with training and presenting to groups

• Capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at the store level

• Basic analytical skills in utilizing sales data

• Comfortable in a hands-on, customer-facing role

• Competence in recording store visits using Salesforce

• Experience in the agriculture, livestock, or feed industry is preferred

• Familiarity with Farm & Ranch or similar retail environments

• Understanding of retail merchandising and store resets

• Experience with basic digital communication or training tools
