This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +2 more states.
• Assist in the growth of the Purina Feed brand among Farm & Ranch retail partners in the Pacific Northwest.
• Regularly visit retail locations to support merchandising efforts and product positioning.
• Ensure compliance with planograms and company standards for product display.
• Provide recommendations to enhance product placement, shelf visibility, and promotional activities.
• Identify opportunities to optimize shelf space, visibility, and overall performance.
• Engage with store associates and management to discuss products and selling strategies.
• Determine store-level execution priorities based on sales performance, merchandising gaps, product availability, and growth potential.
• Build product knowledge and confidence at the store level.
• Act as the primary field contact for designated stores.
• Evaluate store needs and advise Retail Operations Managers and retail leaders on necessary actions.
• Coordinate support for new store openings, product launches, and training initiatives.
• Identify execution challenges, determine next steps, and escalate issues that require cross-functional collaboration.
• Facilitate the introduction and expansion of new products.
• Aid in expanding the retail footprint while prioritizing store coverage and field support.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and retail operations teams.
• Assist in regional events, promotions, and store resets.
• Participate in retailer meetings and calls as required.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail, sales, or store-level training.
• Capability to utilize sales data, store observations, and partner feedback for territory-level decision-making and recommendations.
• Preferred experience working directly with retail stores or in field-based settings.
• Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time.
• Expect 3 to 4 overnight stays most weeks.
• Ability to work independently and manage a field-based territory.
• Strong communication skills and comfort in training and presenting to groups.
• Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
• Basic analytical skills and proficiency in using sales data.
• Comfort in a hands-on, customer-facing role.
• Ability to document store visits in Salesforce.
• Preferred experience in agriculture, livestock, or the feed industry.
• Familiarity with Farm & Ranch or similar retail environments is advantageous.
• Understanding of retail merchandising and store resets.
• Experience with basic digital tools for communication or training purposes.
• Candidates must reside within the sales area (Oregon, Washington, and Idaho).
