This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• Define and manage the market data strategy and roadmap for the TradFi program.
• Assess, evaluate, and prioritize exchange and vendor data necessary for upcoming TradFi products.
• Lead the sourcing process and negotiate commercial agreements with exchanges, consolidators, and market data suppliers.
• Oversee licensing contracts, renewals, and the overall data expenditure.
• Facilitate comprehensive data integration with engineering, which includes feed onboarding, normalization, symbology and reference data, corporate actions, and distribution to trading and client-facing platforms.
• Establish governance throughout the data lifecycle, encompassing entitlements management, data quality monitoring, lineage, and adherence to exchange usage policies and audit standards.
• Collaborate with product, legal, and compliance teams on data licensing and redistribution agreements.
• Keep an updated overview of the market data landscape, including sources, vendors, partnership models, and pricing structures.
• Build and mentor a small, evolving market data team.
• Set the operational rhythm with product and engineering teams.
• Serve as the in-house authority on TradFi market data and market structure, translating exchange and vendor conventions for crypto-native teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6–10 years of experience in market data or trading technology within a global online brokerage, exchange, fintech, or market data vendor, with a proven history of establishing or scaling market data for trading platforms.
• Extensive knowledge of the market data ecosystem, including exchange feeds, vendor products, licensing and redistribution frameworks, entitlements, and exchange audit/compliance processes.
• Practical experience in sourcing and integrating market data across various TradFi asset classes (such as equities, derivatives, commodities, fixed income, FX, and indices) and regions.
• Strong understanding of market data technology and reference data, including feed protocols, normalization, symbology standards, corporate actions, and time-series distribution.
• Robust commercial and negotiation abilities; experience managing vendor relationships and overseeing a data budget.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, engaging effectively with product, engineering, legal, and finance teams; capable of navigating both technical and commercial discussions.
• Comfortable creating processes from the ground up in a dynamic, high-velocity environment.
• Preferred: Experience establishing a market data function at a brokerage launching new asset classes or entering new markets.
• Preferred: Comprehensive knowledge of the APAC, US, and European market data landscapes and exchange policies.
• Preferred: Technical proficiency (SQL/Python; familiarity with common feed protocols and data architectures).
