This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Analyze market access strategies for both commercial and development-stage pharmaceutical products.
• Evaluate payer behavior across various therapeutic areas and drug classes.
• Examine coverage, access limitations, formulary placement, and reimbursement assumptions.
• Utilize practical expertise in US managed-markets for commercial analyses.
• Develop and rigorously test gross-to-net assumptions.
• Assess relationships among rebates, discounts, concessions, list price, access, and net revenue.
• Evaluate formulary tiering, product positioning, prior authorization, step therapy, and utilization-management assumptions.
• Analyze competitive dynamics and payer incentives that impact formulary access.
• Design and critique structured evaluation frameworks for pharmaceutical market access analysis.
• Define criteria that reflect experienced payer and market access judgment.
• Provide clear written justification for evaluation decisions.
• Contribute specialized payer insights to advanced AI evaluation work.
• Collaborate across multiple drugs, therapeutic areas, and payer scenarios.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in market access, pricing and reimbursement, managed markets, or a closely related pharmaceutical field.
• Practical experience with gross-to-net modeling and analysis.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical rebates and contracting dynamics.
• Experience in evaluating formulary placement and tiering by drug class.
• In-depth knowledge of US payer behavior and reimbursement frameworks.
• Familiarity with biotech and pharmaceutical development programs.
• Strong commercial judgment and analytical reasoning skills.
• Exceptional written communication abilities and attention to detail.
• Current professional experience based in the US.
• Equivalent professional experience in pharmaceutical market access or pricing and reimbursement may be accepted.
• Practical expertise in payer and managed-markets.
• Experience collaborating directly with health plans, PBMs, or payer organizations.
• Background in pharmaceutical pricing strategy.
• Experience with contracting and rebate negotiations.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer dynamics.
• Experience in evaluating launch access strategies.
• Knowledge of utilization management and formulary decision-making processes.
• Experience advising biotechnology or pharmaceutical leadership teams.
• Previous experience with structured expert review, rubric development, or AI evaluation.
• Independent contractor status is required.
• Availability for approximately 10–20 total hours over an initial period of 1–2 weeks.
• Paid pilot with the possibility of recurring work.
• Competitive hourly rates ranging from $170 to $195 based on expertise and project scope.
• Weekly payments through Stripe or Wise.
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or adjusted based on scope and performance.
• Fully remote work within the United States.
