📋 Description

• Conduct thorough validation of marine geology and sedimentology reference answers on a statement-by-statement basis.

• Analyze AI-generated content pertaining to marine lithology, sedimentary structures, grain-size classifications, and protocols for offshore core sampling.

• Review and validate descriptions of sediment cores, logging records, and interpretations of marine sediment sequences.

• Evaluate the identification and characterization of marine sediments, soil strata, and rock formations found in ocean-floor environments.

• Utilize practical experience gained from offshore sediment core logging and visual core description on research vessels while assessing technical content.

• Review and annotate case studies in marine geology, reference materials, and scientific test sets.

• Identify technical inaccuracies, ambiguities, and edge cases present in AI-generated outputs.

• Deliver clear, detailed feedback and recommendations to enhance scientific accuracy and technical interpretation.

• Document findings and support the ongoing improvement of AI training and evaluation materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Educational background in Marine Geology, Marine Sedimentology, Sedimentology, or a related earth science field.

• Proven professional experience as a Marine Sedimentologist or in a similar specialist role.

• Practical experience in logging and describing sediment cores at sea aboard research vessels.

• Hands-on experience with offshore marine core sampling and visual core description.

• In-depth knowledge of marine sediment identification, lithology, grain-size classification, and sedimentary structures.

• Capability to characterize and interpret sediment and rock layers in marine contexts.

• Understanding of offshore sampling procedures and established core description protocols.

• Strong analytical abilities and a critical approach to reviewing scientific information.

• Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex geological concepts accurately.
