Manufacturing Automation Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Lead extensive manufacturing transformation initiatives that incorporate automation, equipment, and digital technologies.

• Oversee projects from the definition of requirements and architecture development to the selection of integrators, implementation, and deployment at sites.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Digital, Facilities, Supply Chain, and technical specialists to ensure alignment of requirements, decisions, resources, and execution.

• Manage changes related to equipment, controls, digital systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure.

• Supervise system integrators and external partners to meet technical, scheduling, cost, and performance goals.

• Convey program objectives, status updates, risks, decisions, and business impacts at all organizational levels.

• Achieve operational and financial enhancements through standardized, scalable Collins architectures and reproducible solutions.

• Assist global teams and initiatives with flexible scheduling.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of experience, or 14 years of relevant experience without a degree.

• Proven track record of leading large, intricate technical or manufacturing projects from concept through to implementation.

• Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and technical experts across various organizations.

• Comprehensive project execution experience involving requirements, scope, schedule, budget, risk management, integrator coordination, and stakeholder communication.

• Relevant experience in the manufacturing industry or in a closely related technical environment.

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without the need for company immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

• Preferred experience with manufacturing automation, industrial equipment, digital manufacturing, controls, or systems integration.

• Preferred experience in contributing to or leading significant manufacturing modernization or transformation efforts.

• Preferred experience in selecting and managing system integrators, equipment suppliers, or other external technical partners.

• Strong systems-level thinking and the capability to connect technical decisions to operational performance, scalability, and business value is preferred.
