This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for engineering data security products and controls.
• Establish technical direction and oversee execution in areas such as architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and production support.
• Offer hands-on technical leadership through coding, solution design, critical technical decisions, and essential implementation efforts.
• Direct engineering capabilities in DLP Policy, Data Intelligence, or Data Access, focusing on policy automation, data discovery and classification, and access controls.
• Create and enhance policy-as-code workflows, reusable control patterns, detection logic, platform integrations, and automated testing and deployment processes.
• Streamline control lifecycle activities, including validation, detection of configuration drift, reporting, alert enrichment, and operational health checks.
• Take ownership of the reliability, efficiency, adoption, and continuous enhancement of the team’s products and controls.
• Convert complex data security requirements into scalable technical solutions and measurable results.
• Act as the first-level manager for a team of engineers.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in software, data, or security engineering, including responsibility for production systems and technical products.
• More than 2 years of experience in leading engineers while remaining actively involved in technical design, code reviews, and complex engineering tasks.
• In-depth technical expertise in data protection, including DLP, data discovery and classification, information protection, data access controls, and data governance.
• Thorough understanding of cloud, SaaS, CASB, and enterprise data protection architectures.
• Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, Terraform, YAML, JSON, or similar technologies.
• Proven track record of building version-controlled security solutions utilizing policy as code, automated delivery pipelines, APIs, and reusable components.
• Demonstrated success in converting manual, console-based administration into scalable, automated operating models.
• Background investigation required.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and other enterprise platforms that support DLP, data discovery and classification, information protection, or data access governance.
• Knowledge of integrating data security capabilities with identity, cloud, SIEM, SOAR, workflow, and enterprise data platforms through APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Proven ability to influence technical decisions and promote the adoption of secure patterns and engineering standards across product domains.
• Demonstrated success in mentoring senior engineers and cultivating emerging technical leaders.
• Understanding of security and operational metrics, such as control adoption, detection quality, reliability, and risk reduction, used to assess engineering outcomes and guide priorities.
