This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Define and take ownership of IREN's enterprise VDC roadmap, which encompasses BIM execution plans, modeling standards, LOD requirements, naming conventions, and quality benchmarks.
• Establish governance for the authorship, exchange, and federation of models among design teams, general contractors, and trade partners.
• Integrate VDC requirements within contracts, RFPs, and consultant agreements.
• Standardize the transition of model data from conceptualization through design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
• Support project teams managing VDC activities by providing guidance, templates, and best practices.
• Offer advice on model-based quantity takeoff, 4D sequencing, and 5D cost integration.
• Facilitate prefabrication and modular construction by utilizing fabrication-level coordinated models.
• Provide escalation assistance for complex coordination challenges.
• Manage the corporate VDC technology stack, covering platform selection, administration, licensing, access, and vendor relations.
• Integrate model data with project controls, document management, GIS, asset management, and digital twin systems.
• Pilot new technologies such as reality capture, automated clash resolution, generative design, and AI-assisted coordination capabilities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Commissioning, Data Center Operations, and Innovation teams.
• Interface with external design firms, contractors, and fabricators regarding VDC issues.
• Build and lead IREN's corporate VDC team.
• Cultivate organizational VDC capability through training, playbooks, and workflows.
• Establish VDC KPIs and report on schedule and cost impacts to executive leadership.
• Conduct lessons-learned reviews and enhance corporate standards.
• A minimum of 8+ years of experience in VDC, BIM management, or digital construction delivery.
• At least 3 years of experience in leading VDC programs or teams.
• Experience in data center, mission-critical, or large industrial projects is highly preferred.
• Expert proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, or equivalent CDE platforms.
• Experience in federating and coordinating large multidisciplinary models.
• A proven track record in establishing corporate BIM/VDC standards and execution plans.
• Experience in enforcing standards across external design and construction partners.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
• Experience in leading multidisciplinary coordination and constructability reviews.
• Experience supporting prefabrication or modular construction based on fabrication-level models is highly desirable.
• Exposure to 4D/5D workflows, reality capture, or digital twin programs is advantageous.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
• Relevant certifications such as Autodesk or buildingSMART are a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
• Ability to translate technical model data into actionable insights for executives and field teams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as necessary.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and regional market data.
