Manager, Technical Account Teams – Europe

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Technical Account Managers.

• Proactively hire in anticipation of future needs as the team expands.

• Take ownership of adoption rates, customer well-being, and overall retention metrics across the client base.

• Collaborate with Account Executives responsible for enterprise renewals.

• Enhance and refine segmentation, health scoring, and lifecycle playbooks.

• Ensure that QBRs convey impactful customer narratives supported by real data.

• Act as the primary escalation point for accounts identified as at-risk.

• Conduct thorough account analyses, develop save plans, and see them to completion.

• Establish performance metrics and career advancement standards for the team.

• Increase team productivity through automation, playbooks, and broader engagement programs.

• Provide technical insights to the Product and Engineering teams.

• Present retention, adoption, and team health metrics to senior leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of direct management experience in post-sales teams (TAM, Solution Engineering, or similar).

• At least 6 years of overall experience in pre- or post-sales roles (TAM, Solutions, or Services) within the B2B SaaS sector.

• Proven track record of owning GRR, NRR, or adoption goals.

• Experience in security, developer tools, or related technical products.

• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the operations of developers and security teams.

• Background as the escalation owner for at-risk enterprise accounts.

• Experience in constructing, operationalizing, or enhancing segmentation, playbooks, health scoring, and QBR frameworks.

• Capability to work independently as an individual contributor when necessary.

• Strong executive presence when engaging with CISOs, VPs of Engineering, and company executives.

• Willingness to travel for customer and corporate meetings as required.

• Proven success in nurturing and expanding relationships with large-scale enterprise clients.

• Experience managing intricate stakeholder requirements and navigating high-stakes technical environments.

• Must reside in Europe.

• Preferred: experience in software supply chain security, Application Security (AppSec), DevSecOps, or open-source ecosystems.

• Preferred: experience in scaling a post-sales function within a high-growth startup.

• Preferred: experience managing Technical Account Manager (TAM) charters.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with Vitally or similar customer success platforms and digital touch programs.

• Familiarity with tools such as Slack, GitHub, Zendesk, Vitally, HubSpot, and Grafana.
