This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Develop and sustain constructive, long-lasting relationships with key personnel at hospital-level clients.
• Implement initiatives by translating strategies from IDN level to the hospital/account level.
• Propel innovative solutions and partnerships within targeted accounts and clients.
• Collaborate with sales leaders and teams to expand prospects and facilitate opportunity closures.
• Assist in navigating VAC approval processes for new products and influence VAC members.
• Anticipate customer requirements, market changes, and competitive challenges.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on overarching strategy, marketing content development, and external tactics.
• Manage multiple priorities to support and enhance business strategies.
• Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with influential individuals in the cardiovascular interventional sector.
• Nurture long-term strategic partnerships.
• Measure and evaluate the impact of KOL engagements and relay outcomes to cross-functional teams.
• Clearly articulate Shockwave Medical’s comprehensive value proposition, encompassing clinical, reimbursement, health economics, and pricing aspects.
• Exhibit extensive product knowledge and engage in high-level clinical discussions with physicians.
• Represent the company with professionalism while upholding ethical and moral standards.
• Adhere to corporate compliance, FDA regulations, medical device, quality, and ethical standards.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of sales experience as a territory manager in the medical device sector.
• Experience in cardiovascular intervention is preferred.
• Preferred but not mandatory sales experience in catheter technology related to occlusive vascular disease, endovascular, atherectomy, stenting, or coronary sales with peripheral influence.
• Familiarity with contracting processes and thorough knowledge of the VAC process.
• Comprehensive understanding of sales applications and principles.
• Strong influencing skills to advocate for both internal and external stakeholder needs.
• Excellent judgment and balanced decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to independently manage time and resources within designated strategic accounts.
• Must not be debarred by the FDA from working in any Medical Device business.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple priorities.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Up to 50% domestic travel required.
• Ability to function effectively as part of a team and/or independently while adapting to changing requirements.
• Ability to endure continuous sitting for extended periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day).
• Must currently reside in San Francisco, Portland, or Seattle; relocation assistance is not provided.
