This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
β’ Lead a team of mid-level and senior Solutions Architects throughout Central & Eastern Europe and the UK, providing clear guidance and facilitating high-quality execution.
β’ Serve as a player-coach by collaborating directly on strategic initiatives, fostering executive relationships, and mentoring your team through intricate sales processes to achieve the technical win.
β’ Direct the regional strategy for technical assessments, workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept initiatives, ensuring that customer requirements are transformed into significant technical and business results.
β’ Collaborate across functions with global Solutions Architecture, Sales, Channel, Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Product Management to synchronize priorities and accomplish regional objectives.
β’ Oversee dotted-line relationships with Channel Solutions Architects and subject matter experts, promoting accountability, teamwork, and alignment towards shared goals.
β’ Uphold strong operational discipline in workload planning, resource distribution, headcount planning, opportunity forecasting, and field execution.
β’ Establish and monitor key performance indicators for the team, effectively communicating progress, risks, and priorities to your team, peers, and senior stakeholders.
β’ Recruit, develop, and retain high-caliber Solutions Architects while enhancing team capabilities, fostering innovation, and constructing a scalable regional organization for future growth.
β’ Proven experience managing technical teams in software or technology sales, pre-sales, consulting, or a similar field within Central Europe.
β’ Strong foundation in solution architecture or equivalent practical experience, with the ability to connect technical depth to customer business value and leverage transferable skills from related domains while acquiring knowledge of GitLab and associated tools.
β’ Demonstrated success in developing, mentoring, and scaling Solutions Architecture practices or similar customer-facing technical organizations in expanding businesses.
β’ Excellent communication and technical presentation abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively across different cultures and with both technical and business stakeholders.
β’ Proven business acumen and sound judgment, balancing technical excellence with commercial results and regional priorities.
β’ History of influencing cross-functional stakeholders and cultivating strong partnerships across Sales, Channel, Marketing, Enablement, Product, and other senior stakeholder groups.
β’ Experience in building inclusive, high-performing teams and creating clear, accountable operating practices in a distributed or remote setting.
β’ A genuine interest in AI, with a tendency to incorporate AI tools into your daily tasks to enhance efficiency and clarity, along with a vision for how this approach can enrich customer engagement.
β’ Willingness and ability to travel as required by business needs and GitLab's travel policy.
