Manager, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide a diverse team of software engineers and contractors

• Take ownership of the delivery lifecycle for OS features

• Oversee timelines, risks, and dependencies while ensuring safe execution

• Serve as the main technical contact for both external customers and internal stakeholders

• Gather, analyze, and refine operational capabilities into organized, actionable systems and software requirements

• Evaluate aerospace and safety-critical technical standards

• Convert certification requirements into clear, actionable engineering tasks

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 3 years in a management position

• Ability to convey complex technical challenges into straightforward project status updates for stakeholders

• Extensive knowledge of SCRUM/Agile methodologies

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred

• Must be a US Citizen

• Familiarity with safety-critical development processes (DO-178C, ISO 26262) is highly desirable

• Experience in developing systems-level software, including virtualization, OS kernels, or hypervisors for x86/ARM is highly preferred
