This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee the serverless containers team, focusing on hiring, coaching, performance management, career development, and feedback.

• Take full ownership of the container platform from image delivery and placement to request routing, scaling up, and scaling down for both CPU and GPU.

• Address cold-start performance challenges through techniques such as snapshotting, prewarming, and image-layer caching.

• Implement support for GPU-backed containers, streaming responses, long-lived connections, and MCP servers.

• Collaborate with the team to write in Go and take charge of architectural and challenging implementation decisions.

• Mentor engineers and set standards for ownership within the team.

• Work with Product Managers to translate platform strategies into a product that developers are eager to utilize.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in people leadership.

• Proven experience in managing engineers, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, career development, and providing constructive feedback.

• Hands-on experience in deploying production systems using Go.

• Background in building container or workload platforms, with knowledge of orchestration, scheduling, isolation, and request routing.

• Extensive knowledge of Linux, including namespaces, cgroups, image layers, and page cache management.

• Familiarity with multi-tenancy, density, isolation, and fairness within a shared fleet environment.

• Significant experience in developing complex backend or infrastructure systems.

• Experience collaborating with product, design, and business teams to deliver software to end users.

• A low-ego, team-oriented approach to work.
