Manager, Software Development Engineering – Quality Engineering, Testing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the development of AI-enhanced Quality Engineering solutions, which encompass agentic test generation, self-healing frameworks, and AI-supported defect analysis.

• Spearhead the transition of automation frameworks and test data management to AWS-native services.

• Propel testing towards agent-orchestrated Quality Engineering throughout planning, execution, and triage phases.

• Convert Sales & Acquisition business processes into automation strategies and validation models.

• Design and implement automated SDLC pipelines for requirement-to-test generation, PR impact assessment, and validation workflows.

• Establish evaluation frameworks, quality gates, guardrails, and responsible AI governance for AI-generated test artifacts.

• Integrate LLM-based and AI-assisted tools with test frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Jira, and enterprise data systems.

• Promote the adoption of UI, API, and data-validation automation frameworks, with an emphasis on API coverage and React testing.

• Oversee, mentor, and develop a team of SDETs.

• Collaborate with Business, Product, Engineering, DevOps, and QE teams to create scalable and compliant solutions.

• Set standards, governance models, reusable automation assets, prompt libraries, and automation accelerators.

• Track automation coverage, defect leakage, cycle time, and delivery efficiency.

• Articulate automation strategy and AI-driven quality initiatives to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Remain up-to-date with automation technologies, AI/agent-based workflows, and enterprise automation best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Software Development Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related technical fields.

• At least 2 years of experience in leading automation strategies and/or managing engineering teams.

• Strong practical experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python.

• Experience in building and integrating APIs and distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with API testing tools and frameworks such as Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.

• Demonstrated expertise with test automation frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.

• Experience in testing React-based applications, including component-level and end-to-end UI testing.

• Practical experience with AI/GenAI tools.

• Familiarity with Jira for workflow management, defect tracking, and reporting.

• Ability to work during East Coast business hours.

• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent technical training or relevant professional experience.

• Preferred: Experience in the Healthcare, Medicare, or Sales & Acquisition domains.

• Preferred: Exposure to AI-driven SDLC or agent-based automation frameworks.

• Preferred: Experience with AI-assisted testing, self-healing automation, or intelligent test optimization.

• Preferred: Familiarity with AWS-native services such as Bedrock, Lambda, or Step Functions in test automation or CI/CD pipelines.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Power BI.
