Manager, Simulation Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Lead and enhance simulation operations involving scenario development, test execution, and quality assurance across the virtual testing landscape.

• Supervise hybrid teams consisting of full-time engineers and contractors.

• Oversee daily, release-validation, and ad-hoc regression suites and simulation processes.

• Manage the intake, creation, tagging, and upkeep of simulation scenarios.

• Uphold quality assurance standards for simulation inputs, platforms, and output results.

• Design and monitor unified metrics for simulation accuracy and software stability.

• Evaluate simulation outputs to detect regressions, system trends, and edge-case behaviors.

• Provide concise analytical reports to autonomy leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Incorporate AI tools, automated prompt/script generators, and LLM-assisted workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in technical operations, software QA/testing management, or data operations.

• More than 2 years of direct management experience supervising full-time engineers and contractor workforces.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical operations, software QA, or data pipeline teams under stringent delivery deadlines.

• Experience managing hybrid teams, overseeing SLAs, and developing onboarding programs.

• Proficient in analyzing complex simulation data, constructing KPIs, and translating technical findings into actionable insights.

• Knowledge of simulation execution loops, scenario editors, or software-in-the-loop testing processes.

• Proven track record in establishing operational metrics, QA frameworks, and executive reporting routines.

• Familiarity with modern AI tools to streamline workflows and eliminate manual bottlenecks.

• Standard office working conditions including prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and computer usage.

• Moderate travel required: 11%-25%.
