Manager, Project Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of Project Managers tasked with managing projects related to OSV service implementations.

• Provide strategic guidance, allocate resources, govern delivery, and lead operational initiatives.

• Ensure timely project delivery that meets scope requirements and aligns with customer success objectives.

• Collaborate with the PMO Director and cross-functional leaders to enhance delivery frameworks and standardize processes.

• Foster portfolio-level delivery health, promote talent development, and encourage continuous improvement.

• Manage the project portfolio, assignments for Project Managers, workload distribution, and alignment with business goals.

• Implement portfolio-level delivery assurance, identify systemic risks, and drive organizational mitigation strategies.

• Standardize governance practices and ensure audit compliance across projects led by Project Managers.

• Take ownership of operational delivery metrics, analyze performance trends, and enhance delivery predictability and efficiency.

• Lead improvements in PMO tools and processes.

• Resolve conflicts that arise between services and teams.

• Develop PM talent pipelines through coaching, creating development plans, and assessing readiness for advancement.

• Establish expectations for Project Manager behaviors, operational norms, and delivery standards.

• Address performance issues proactively.

• Champion and participate in continuous improvement initiatives that boost scalability, quality, and client outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• 8+ years of experience in project management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing a team of project managers.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in managing implementations of HCM, Payroll, Payroll Tax, or Benefits applications.

• Proven experience with portfolio-level oversight, resource allocation, workload balancing, and governance of delivery across multiple concurrent projects.

• Familiarity with Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, and Payroll Tax.

• Experience in a BPaaS, SaaS, or professional services delivery context.

• PMP Certification or an equivalent project management credential.

• Preferred: Experience within the Workday ecosystem.

• Preferred: Previous experience in people management, encompassing performance management and talent development.

• Preferred: Workday Certification.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Rocketlane or similar project delivery/PSA tools.
