This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Oversee the daily operations of Project Initiation and guide the team towards achieving organizational objectives.
• Act as the primary contact for management-related issues concerning the establishment of new or modified clinical trials.
• Collaborate with internal functional departments regarding database setup and study requirements.
• Maintain ongoing communication with directors and managers about operational changes.
• Assess process flows and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop or manage training materials, templates, job aids, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Implement lessons learned and process modifications across Project Initiation and affected departments.
• Create tools to monitor process effectiveness and support evaluation initiatives.
• Ensure that new clinical testing procedures and IT database validations are completed and deemed acceptable prior to specimen receipt and reporting.
• Assist in interviewing and hiring staff for Project Initiation.
• Engage in process improvement initiatives and departmental metrics reporting.
• Directly supervise members of the Project Initiation team as required.
• Assign clinical trial protocols to fulfill quality and timeline requirements.
• Mentor and train new team members.
• Coach, develop, and retain associates through performance management and career development strategies.
• Execute additional related tasks that support departmental and organizational objectives.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in setup-related and/or project management.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a substitute for the specified educational and experiential requirements.
• Experience in customer service.
• Exceptional organization, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail, planning, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proficient listening and verbal comprehension skills, including the ability to translate client needs to team members.
• Capability to make informed decisions and adapt to changing environments and requirements.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Competence in adhering to established timelines, processes, and procedures.
• Skills in customer service and client relationship management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
• Capability to write business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information and respond to inquiries from managers and clients.
• Ability to perform calculations and manage budgets.
• Skill in applying mathematical concepts to clinical trial budget management and metrics analysis.
• Ability to resolve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions.
