This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Build and manage a team of six Legal Architects to support Clio's sales efforts for small and medium-sized businesses (SMB).
• Recruit, mentor, and nurture Legal Architects across various segments including Mid Market, Government, Velocity, and Strategic.
• Establish team culture, quality benchmarks, and career advancement pathways.
• Develop coverage strategies tailored to sales motions and segments.
• Oversee team capacity in relation to demand.
• Personally manage select strategic accounts, high-profile demonstrations, and product launches.
• Tackle complex legal, ethical, and technical challenges.
• Enhance sales enablement through the creation of reusable demonstrations, prompt libraries, playbooks, and content specific to practice areas.
• Convert field insights into actionable product guidance in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
• Ensure alignment of messaging with Marketing and Enablement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Legal Architects to share insights across diverse customer segments.
• Assist in forecasting and pipeline evaluations.
• Monitor team performance and uphold standards of quality, accuracy, and vetting.
• Report directly to the Director of Legal Architecture.
• Juris Doctor (JD) or an equivalent degree, backed by practical experience.
• Proven experience in leading or managing a team, or demonstrated success in a player-coach role.
• Customer-facing experience in discovery sessions, live demonstrations, and high-stakes discussions.
• Proficient in navigating technical, emotional, and ethical objections with senior legal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with LLMs and their applications in legal drafting, research, and agentic workflows.
• Utilizes AI reflexively in personal work.
• Outstanding communication skills and emotional intelligence.
• Capable of commanding a room, providing real-time coaching, and simplifying complex ideas into clear narratives.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with ambiguity.
• Candidates based in the US working remotely will be considered.
• Preference for candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Vancouver or Toronto.
• Practical experience as a lawyer is required.
