Manager – Infrastructure and DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Georgia, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee the DevOps and Infrastructure teams

• Enhance and sustain the technical infrastructure that underpins Smartcat's development, deployment, and operational processes

• Guarantee the availability, scalability, and reliability of both staging and production environments

• Establish and uphold SRE and DevOps best practices

• Implement stringent CI/CD testing and review protocols to minimize release errors

• Ensure that the staging infrastructure maintains 99.9% uptime

• Develop resilient systems, procedures, and disaster recovery strategies to achieve 99.99% product availability

• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and environments to reduce lead times

• Construct and oversee an engineering team across various regions and time zones

• Enhance the recruitment process

• Offer expert technical guidance, mentorship, and career development to team members

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team in a rapidly growing multinational IT organization

• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps and SRE, managing high-RPS distributed products

• Ability to make data-driven decisions and substantiate choices with concrete metrics

• Capacity to cultivate relationships with adjacent teams and serve as a liaison between the team and its environment

• Strong hands-on experience in a leading DevOps role

• Proven experience in constructing complex CI/CD pipelines

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices

• Knowledge of various deployment methodologies

• Experience in creating secure development environments

• Practical experience in developing and maintaining large-scale cloud applications

• Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Experience with technologies such as .NET Core, MongoDB, Vue 2/3, Kafka, Elasticsearch, GitLab CI, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Jaeger, and Kubernetes
