
Manager, HRIS, Workday – Reporting, Security, Integrations, Payroll

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Act as the main subject matter expert for Workday Reporting, Security, Payroll configurations, Integrations, and technical architecture.
• Design, configure, and provide support for scalable Workday solutions that meet global business needs.
• Assess the technical implications of suggested changes across systems, integrations, reporting, and downstream processes.
• Suggest best practices aimed at enhancing system performance, governance, and maintainability.
• Create and develop sophisticated Workday reports, composite reports, dashboards, scorecards, and calculated fields.
• Collaborate with HR and business leaders to provide actionable workforce insights.
• Enhance reporting efficiency through automation and self-service features.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and governance of data.
• Oversee and support Workday integrations, EIBs, PECI, Studio, APIs, and middleware solutions.
• Collaborate with Payroll and vendors on payroll interfaces, testing, and process enhancements.
• Lead root-cause analysis and resolution for integration or payroll-related issues.
• Assess integration impacts during Workday releases and enhancements.
• Manage the Workday security framework, domain security policies, roles, segment-based security, and business process security.
• Conduct periodic security audits and compliance activities.
• Ensure that appropriate access controls and segregation of duties are in place.
• Work together with Compliance, Internal Audit, and IT Security teams.
• Establish standards for reporting, security, and technical configuration.
• Maintain documentation, testing protocols, and change management controls.
• Support audit readiness and compliance requirements.
• Identify opportunities for automation of manual tasks and enhancement of system efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, HR, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in HRIS or HR Technology.
• At least 5 years of advanced Workday configuration experience.
• Deep expertise in Reporting, Security, Payroll configuration, Integrations, and Architecture.
• Advanced knowledge of calculated fields, composite reporting, and dashboards.
• Experience in supporting global HR systems and HR technology projects.
• Proven experience in mentoring team members, leading projects, or driving process improvement initiatives.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, including negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel, and HRIS systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Capability to identify and address analytical needs in unclear situations.
• Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to escalating issues.
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on team success.
• Workday certifications in HCM, Reporting, Security, Integrations, Compensation, and/or Talent are strongly preferred.
• Experience with Workday integrations such as Studio, EIB, PECI, and APIs.
• Background in a global matrixed environment.
• Knowledge of SQL, analytics, or data management.
• Familiarity with Core HCM, Talent, or Compensation modules.
