Chartered or Principal Enterprise Advisor – Security Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead comprehensive security architecture evaluations and assurances for large, intricate, and regulated organizations.

• Evaluate cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructures regarding identity, networks, applications, platforms, and data.

• Conduct threat modeling to identify plausible attack vectors, design flaws, and control deficiencies.

• Assess whether proposed or alternative controls deliver equivalent and proportionate protection.

• Review both high-level and detailed designs, challenging any unsupported assumptions.

• Provide guidance to boards, executives, and technical teams on secure-by-design choices and trade-offs.

• Generate clear, defendable, and client-ready architecture findings and assurance reports.

• Complete scheme-specific training and engage in internal quality reviews as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current professional registration with the UK Cyber Security Council (UKCSC) in Security Architecture (Secure System Architecture and Design) at either Principal or Chartered level; this is mandatory and subject to verification.

• Significant experience as an active security architect in large, complex, or regulated organizations.

• Strong understanding of secure-by-design principles, threat modeling, and architecture assurance.

• Hands-on experience with cloud, hybrid infrastructure, identity, networks, applications, and data security.

• Exceptional command of written English and the ability to communicate technical risks to non-technical decision-makers.

• Must reside in the UK.

• Willingness to visit UK client sites as agreed upon.

• Capable of contracting through a limited company or another compliant arrangement.

• Certifications such as SABSA, TOGAF, CISSP, CCSP, and cloud certifications are valued but do not substitute for the UKCSC registration requirement.
