Manager, GPO Delivery – Optimization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Leads the implementation of the account workplan and autonomously manages assigned programs once defined.

• Oversees the GPO portfolio lifecycle, which includes tier activation and timing, renewals and expirations, distributor contract audits, roster accuracy, and the precision of admin fee revenue.

• Collaborates across functions with GPO contracting, subject matter experts (SMEs), and analytics teams to eliminate obstacles and ensure timely delivery.

• Takes ownership of the account's project plan, timeline, and RACI; proactively escalates and resolves issues before they escalate into problems.

• Carries out contract activations, amendments, and renewals in direct coordination with distributors and suppliers.

• Facilitates category adoption discussions leading to decisive outcomes.

• Manages contract performance within the account's category portfolio, ensuring optimal utilization and realization of value.

• Utilizes Premier's technology, AI, Power BI tools, and analytics partnerships to distill findings into actionable recommendations.

• Converts data into a concise, member-facing narrative that spurs action.

• Develops the account's annual growth forecast and plays a role in the business review process.

• Executes strategies aimed at contract growth, penetration, and achieving member savings/value KPIs and targets.

• Collaborates with internal partners to implement the account's category strategy effectively.

• Guarantees regular and complete submission of member data to support precise analytics and GPO growth/penetration monitoring.

• Employs contract analytics to assist members in modeling contracting scenarios, costs, behaviors, market share, and lower-cost alternatives.

• Offers daily guidance to member stakeholders as a trusted advisor.

• Develops an understanding of each member's objectives, capabilities, and challenges, tailoring engagement accordingly.

• Serves as the account's GPO quarterback when dedicated GPO team resources are unavailable.

• Aligns supply chain and pharmacy objectives between the member and Premier.

• Addresses ambiguous challenges and facilitates execution without waiting for directives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 or more years of relevant experience.

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).

• Strong project management and organizational skills; capable of managing multiple workstreams without overlooking details.

• Self-motivated individual with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience with Salesforce and analytics platforms such as Power BI and AI-enabled tools.

• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.

• Over 5 years of experience in account management, category management, sourcing/contracting, or healthcare supply chain.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and communicate insights clearly to member stakeholders.

• Familiarity with GPO contract lifecycle management and performance optimization.

• Bachelor’s degree (Preferred).

• Capable of remaining in a stationary position for extended periods.

• Adaptable and able to shift priorities quickly; meets deadlines consistently.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Competent in operating computer programs and software.

• Effective communication skills with audiences in both in-person and electronic formats.

• Regularly engages in day-to-day contact with others (co-workers and/or the public).

• Makes independent decisions.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative business environment, often in close quarters with peers and amidst various interruptions.
