This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of Subcontracts professionals while providing strategic leadership.

• Act as a crucial liaison between Leidos management and senior Contracts as well as Global Supply Chain management.

• Serve as the main point of contact between subcontractors and various programs.

• Contractually manage various types of agreements, typically characterized by high dollar value, risk, and complexity.

• Collaborate with Contracts, Program Management, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Manufacturing, Growth, and Business Development teams.

• Lead the negotiation and execution of long-term strategic agreements with key suppliers.

• Integrate supplier strategies early in the capture, proposal, and program lifecycles.

• Identify and address complex issues and risks associated with the managed subcontract portfolio.

• Convert supplier data into insights, recommendations, and action plans suitable for executive review.

• Oversee team workload, assignments, expectations, accountability, work quality, performance reviews, and team growth.

• Directly manage subcontracts for selected programs or support special projects and corporate initiatives.

• Ensure subcontract outcomes align with program, business area, and sector goals.

• Provide status updates and address issues to senior management, internal partners, and suppliers.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience along with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.

• Typically, 2+ years of experience in supervising or leading teams or projects.

• Equivalent experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

• Experience in awarding and managing subcontracts within a government-approved purchasing system (CPSR).

• Advanced understanding of FAR/DFARS, other Federal agency requirements, and small business participation.

• Strong negotiating skills to enhance organizational returns, minimize risks, and improve pricing and terms and conditions.

• Proven experience managing a variety of subcontract types.

• Experience in independently leading the subcontracts portion of proposal efforts.

• Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Ability to effectively communicate and present status updates and issues to senior management, internal partners, and suppliers.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Department of Workforce security clearance.

• US citizenship is required.

• Preferred qualifications include experience with Department of Defense and Federal programs; knowledge of CPSR compliance, NIST SP 800-171, and cyber/supplier readiness; familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies; relevant certifications such as CPSM, CPC, CFCM, ISM, APICS, PMI PMP; experience in defense technology supply chains; skills in supplier relationship-building; team supervision or leadership; and proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Deltek Costpoint and procurement systems like Ivalua.
