Manager, Global Environmental, Health & Safety – EHS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and uphold global EHS standards, policies, procedures, and governance requirements.

• Design and implement a comprehensive global EHS management system that aligns with ISO 45001 principles and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Create and execute EHS audit, assurance, and assessment programs.

• Manage the planning and execution of audits, governance of corrective actions, and effectiveness evaluations.

• Oversee enterprise EHS metrics, reporting processes, dashboards, and executive-level performance evaluations.

• Handle serious incident escalation and review, including communications with executives, root cause analysis, lessons learned, and verification of corrective actions.

• Ensure executive leadership is informed about significant EHS risks and promote risk-based decision-making.

• Champion global EHS capability development and establish minimum competency standards.

• Spearhead global EHS strategy and governance initiatives.

• Provide functional leadership to Site EHS Leaders through a dotted-line reporting structure.

• Collaborate with Regional Manufacturing Leaders to ensure consistent deployment of standards.

• Assist regulated manufacturing operations, including cleanrooms, sterilization processes, and other critical activities.

• Coordinate global audits, site assessments, regulatory inspections, and management reviews.

• Partner with the Global Business Continuity Manager to enhance organizational resilience and emergency preparedness.

• Contribute to Sustainability & ESG reporting by providing EHS data and technical expertise.

• Report directly to the Director of Sustainability & ESG, while also having a dotted-line reporting relationship with Regional Manufacturing Leaders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience may be accepted.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.

• In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, industry best practices, and risk management principles.

• Proven ability to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions based on data.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation capabilities.

• Ability to work effectively across various geographies and cultures.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects and adjust to changing business priorities.

• Proficient in EHS-related software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally up to 25% of the time.

• Must meet physical requirements, including reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, traversing, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
