This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead and mentor DevOps/cloud engineers while managing their performance and development plans.
• Oversee the standardization of CI/CD processes for Java, .NET, and Node.js workloads.
• Drive the adoption of the Internal Developer Portal and enable the golden path.
• Provide guidance on Terraform and establish infrastructure-as-code standards and guardrails.
• Integrate DevSecOps best practices into pipelines and cloud platforms.
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives for new tools and enhancements in automation.
• Offer career guidance, performance feedback, and coaching to team members.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure DevOps platforms.
• Convert business requirements into technical solutions and advise stakeholders effectively.
• Align platform capabilities with client needs to maximize business impact.
• Promote automation, operational efficiency, and cloud cost optimization across Azure and AWS.
• Provide self-service platform capabilities to enhance developer productivity.
• Establish and uphold best practices in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability.
• Enhance service reliability, scalability, and performance while minimizing risk.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and team performance.
• Allocate resources across projects and operations while setting team goals and accountability.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.
• At least two years of experience in a leadership role.
• Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools, such as Harness, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Hands-on expertise in AWS and/or Azure, from architecture to operations.
• Extensive experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Advanced understanding of public cloud architecture and operations across Azure and AWS.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Node.js, Python, and Unix shell.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and service mesh technologies.
• Excellent skills in collaboration, transparency, and stakeholder management.
• AWS and/or Azure certifications; professional-level certification is preferred.
• Direct experience supervising DevOps and cloud platform engineers.
• Experience in managing recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance processes.
• Must have US work authorization without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
