Lead DevOps Engineer – EMEA, LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance self-hosted GitLab CI/CD pipelines for hybrid deployments.

• Design reusable CI/CD templates for building, testing, packaging, and releasing workflows.

• Manage and optimize container platforms, including transitioning from Docker-based environments to Kubernetes.

• Apply Infrastructure as Code principles using Terraform and automate configurations with Ansible.

• Enhance DevSecOps measures in pipelines, incorporating SAST/DAST, dependency and license scanning, as well as secrets management.

• Oversee the lifecycle and security of container images utilizing Harbor/Trivy.

• Boost observability, alerting, and reliability across infrastructure and applications through Elastic, Zabbix, and Prometheus/Grafana.

• Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Security, and IT Operations to minimize incidents and enhance deployment confidence.

• Promote cost-effective operations in Azure, AWS, and GCP with a FinOps approach.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years in DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering.

• Extensive hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD (self-hosted preferred).

• Practical experience in creating and managing Docker containers.

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS preferred, EKS/GKE accepted).

• Significant production experience with Terraform and Ansible.

• Proficient in Linux, networking, and container fundamentals.

• Experience in integrating security controls within CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud).

• Knowledge of Harbor, Trivy, and Vault (nice to have).

• Experience with HAProxy / Traefik (nice to have).

• Exposure to VMware (nice to have).

• Familiarity with ISO 27001-aligned security practices (nice to have).

• Experience in FinOps / cloud cost optimization (nice to have).
