Manager – Data Science

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the leaders in Digital and Innovation (D&I) to advocate for the D&I vision.

• Contribute to and execute the digital roadmap.

• Take charge of the successful development, experimentation, deployment, quality assurance, and prompt engineering practices that enable Westinghouse's digital solutions.

• Guide the data science team in the creation, assessment, and implementation of AI/ML models and generative AI solutions.

• Ensure that models are production-ready, evaluated against well-defined performance criteria, and integrated into digital solutions.

• Educate team members responsible for model deployment and production monitoring.

• Set up best practices for experimentation, model validation, reproducibility, versioning, and responsible AI in alignment with Westinghouse Information Technology and the AI Architecture team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A background in data science, machine learning, or applied AI management with experience leading international teams.

• Knowledge of the nuclear and energy sectors.

• Proficiency in model development, experimentation frameworks, MLOps practices, and third-party AI/ML platforms and foundational models.

• A B.S. degree in business management, computer science, data science, industrial engineering, statistics, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of experience in business, operations, or consulting services, demonstrating progression and complexity.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate is advantageous.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate is beneficial.
