Manager, Data Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage, clean, and manipulate data across operational and analytics databases

• Collaborate with data scientists, analytics teams, reporting teams, and IT to comprehend and implement database requirements

• Evaluate database performance and troubleshoot existing problems

• Design, develop, and sustain Google BigQuery data warehouse solutions

• Execute data pipelines and ETL processes for data integration and analytics

• Collaborate with technical Data Suppliers to acquire data feeds

• Validate deliveries from Data Suppliers and address technical and data-related issues

• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions

• Keep operational documentation up to date

• Create data pipeline architecture and resolve issues related to data integration and job scheduling

• Stay informed about trends and best practices in Snowflake and AWS

• Provide support and training to team members on Snowflake best practices

• Identify and implement process enhancements, automate manual tasks, improve data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for scalability

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent/above) in Computer Science, Information Technology

• Highly proficient in SQL

• 3-4+ years of experience handling SQL with large-scale datasets

• Experience in cloud-based data engineering, including the design, implementation, and operationalization of large-scale data and analytics solutions; Snowflake preferred

• Proficiency in the Python programming language

• Familiarity with the ETL development lifecycle and best practices for ETL pipelines

• Extensive experience with data warehouses using Python, BigQuery, and GCP Services

• Marketing or advertising experience is a significant advantage

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to thrive under pressure
