Manager, Corporate Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Execute FP&A functions, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, financial modeling, and enhancing reporting systems.

• Conduct sophisticated financial analyses to assess both the current and anticipated financial wellbeing of the organization.

• Utilize financial modeling techniques to simulate various financial scenarios.

• Present potential scenarios and their outcomes to the management team for evaluation.

• Prepare and disseminate financial documents for both departmental and organizational purposes.

• Generate monthly and quarterly management reports by analyzing financial outcomes, highlighting key trends, evaluating current and future business risks, and conveying essential messages to senior management.

• Develop and sustain operating plans, annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and variance analyses.

• Collaborate with various departments on financial reviews, data validation, reporting, and analysis to enhance productivity and accuracy.

• Partner with the Accounting team to ensure timely and precise closure of financial records.

• Create and maintain relevant KPI dashboards for performance tracking.

• Review financial documents for precision and compliance with financial regulations and accepted financial standards.

• Propose or develop solutions for financial challenges or issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 4 years of experience in corporate finance or a similar role.

• 4 years of experience performing corporate financial analysis within the insurance sector.

• 4 years of experience in financial modeling, including variance and performance analysis models, trend analysis models, scenario and sensitivity analysis models, and three-statement financial models.

• 4 years of experience in budgeting and budgetary control.

• 4 years of experience with financial forecasting.

• 4 years of experience in variance analysis.

• 4 years of experience with EBITDA Adjustments (Add Backs).

• 4 years of experience in preparing, interpreting, and presenting financial statements and reports.

• 4 years of experience with accounting principles such as GAAP, accrual principle, prudence principle, matching principle, and materiality principle.

• 4 years of experience using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Macros, Power Pivot, Lookups, Power Query, and Power BI for report automation and data visualization.

• 4 years of experience conducting expense audits.

• 4 years of experience with agency management systems and accounting and financial systems.

• Experience may have been acquired through pre-bachelor’s work experience.
