This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Identify, assess, and implement acquisition opportunities
• Assist senior leadership in developing strategies, market intelligence, and analytics
• Manage transaction workflows, including target assessment, financial modeling, valuation, diligence coordination, investment documentation, and support for deal execution
• Perform research on industry, market, customer, competitor, and geographical aspects
• Maintain materials for deal pipeline, target tracking tools, and updates for leadership
• Facilitate transaction execution from initial assessment through to letter of intent, diligence, negotiation assistance, and final closing
• Coordinate cross-functional diligence efforts with Finance, Legal, Operations, HR, IT, and external advisors
• Summarize diligence findings, pinpoint risks and opportunities, and suggest subsequent actions
• Prepare transaction timelines, diligence request lists, process trackers, and management updates
• Construct operating models, valuation analyses, synergy scenarios, sensitivity analyses, and return evaluations
• Draft investment memos, business cases, leadership presentations, Board documents, and negotiation support materials
• Convert operational, commercial, and financial insights into recommendations regarding valuation, structure, risks, and approvals
• Collaborate with Finance and functional leaders to validate assumptions, quantify value drivers, and assist in capital allocation decisions
• Contribute to annual and long-term strategy development through market sizing, competitive benchmarking, white space analysis, and scenario modeling
• Assess growth themes, adjacency opportunities, partnerships, and organic initiatives
• Generate executive-ready insights and recommendations for growth priorities, geographic expansion, service line strategies, and investment focuses
• Track industry trends, regulatory developments, customer needs, and competitor activities
• Proven experience and expertise in M&A pipeline development and target assessment
• Capability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize acquisition targets aligned with growth objectives and investment criteria
• Proficient research skills in industry, market, customer, competitor, and geographical contexts
• Ability to develop target profiles, strategic rationales, valuation ranges, and risk/opportunity evaluations
• Experience in transaction execution and due diligence processes
• Competence in coordinating cross-functional diligence with Finance, Legal, Operations, HR, IT, and external advisors
• Skills in financial modeling, valuation analysis, synergy scenarios, sensitivity analyses, and return assessments
• Proficient in preparing investment memos, business cases, leadership presentations, Board documents, and negotiation materials
• Ability to translate operational, commercial, and financial findings into concise recommendations
• Skills in market sizing, competitive benchmarking, white space analysis, and scenario modeling
• Ability to evaluate strategic growth themes, adjacency opportunities, partnerships, and organic initiatives
• Awareness of industry trends, regulatory changes, customer needs, and competitor movements
