This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage all client funds accounts while assessing and projecting associated risks.
• Provide guidance to Client Funds Accounting team members regarding bank files that hinder reconciliation, working internally towards resolution.
• Cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team atmosphere.
• Anticipate potential problems and proactively minimize liability.
• Collaborate with the Product Team and internal stakeholders on the testing and implementation of new business initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between Accounting, Tax Operations, and Treasury.
• Analyze client balances to assess risk and identify potential losses.
• Directly oversee, coach, and mentor Client Funds Analysts.
• Review and escalate aging issues to mitigate organizational risk.
• Identify departmental escalations necessary to resolve outstanding items.
• Recognize and project potential risks while defining mitigation strategies.
• Enhance and refine client funds accounting processes, systems, and procedures.
• Review and authorize daily and weekly payroll/tax account reconciliations.
• Prepare month-end reconciliations, investigate financial discrepancies, and assist Corporate Accounting.
• Support audit teams with SOX/SOC and other compliance documentation requests.
• Monitor cash flow across the entire client base, ensuring all activities are accurately recorded and recommending action plans for cash shortages or surpluses.
• Develop policies and procedures that enhance internal controls and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate enhancements to MasterTax or Web Pay activities with Banking/Tax Treasury and Finance leadership.
• Review and approve Client Credits in accordance with company policies.
• Review and validate process documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll services or banking operations is strongly preferred.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with MasterTax software is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel and Access.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent work ethic, both individually and as part of a team.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• High level of integrity.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods, typically 7–8 hours a day.
• Proficient in operating computer and phone systems, as well as typing.
• Must be available five days a week during designated work hours.
