This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mauritius, +1 more country.
• Generate quantitative and economic analyses for materials intended for the Executive Committee and Board, encompassing scenarios, unit economics, capacity and cost modeling, cost behavior, and baseline scenarios.
• Integrate fragmented, inconsistent, and incomplete information into defensible perspectives while identifying uncertainties.
• Clarify analytical inquiries to effectively support decision-making.
• Maintain external evidence that includes comparator institutions, sector benchmarks, published research, and precedents.
• Clearly state assumptions, limitations, and data gaps.
• Create decision-ready presentations, memos, briefs, charts, dashboards, model walkthroughs, and verbal briefings.
• Convey findings and recommendations to both senior and technical audiences.
• Develop and sustain automated workflows for data extraction, reconciliation, monitoring, and reporting.
• Utilize and validate AI-enabled tools, agents, and scripted workflows for analytical tasks.
• Construct escalation triggers and document tools and workflows.
• Enhance analytical methodologies, templates, reporting processes, and tools.
• Keep records of decisions, actions, owners, assumptions, and review dates.
• Monitor follow-through and escalate overdue or off-track actions.
• Oversee the document repository.
• Coordinate planning, review, and reporting calendar requirements.
• Prepare briefing materials and manage cross-functional contributions for engagements.
• 6 to 8 years of relevant professional experience in producing analyses that guide decisions made by senior personnel in a research institution, consultancy, financial institution, policy body, university, or a similar analytical role.
• Demonstrated economic reasoning through training or practice; a solid understanding of opportunity cost, marginal effects, incentives, and counterfactuals.
• A degree in economics or experience in consulting, policy research, financial analysis, or a quantitative field.
• Proficiency in transforming complex analyses into clear executive communications, including decision briefs, presentations, dashboards, or written recommendations.
• Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
• Experience in building or supporting analytical workflows with minimal manual intervention.
• Practical experience with AI-enabled tools, including large language models, agents, or scripted workflows.
• Capability to reconcile incomplete and conflicting information from various sources into a defensible perspective.
• Ability to quickly become productive in unfamiliar subject areas.
• Prior experience collaborating across functions with differing data sources, priorities, and perspectives is highly preferred.
• Exposure to executive, Board, or committee reporting is advantageous.
