This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead, mentor, and oversee a team dedicated to delivering direct service and support to customers of the Abbott Diagnostics Division.
• Advocate for ADD products and enhance the company's reputation by providing outstanding customer service and technical assistance.
• Execute and uphold the effectiveness of the quality management system.
• Utilize knowledge of diagnostic systems and products to guarantee sufficient customer support and service.
• Maintain documentation and records in compliance with quality system requirements.
• Operate within financial budget limits and assist in budget planning.
• Offer technical guidance and ensure that team members are trained on essential technologies and applications.
• Monitor industry trends and suggest operational enhancements.
• Track product complaints and reliability, compile reports, and propose service improvements.
• Coach, mentor, conduct performance evaluations, and support development planning.
• Build, motivate, and inspire a high-performing team; make staffing decisions.
• Engage with customers, field service/support personnel, and local Sales staff.
• Negotiate with customers to address service issues and enhance relationships.
• Coordinate support levels with service, support, and sales districts.
• Analyze departmental challenges, performance data, trends, and their impact on business and customers.
• Ensure adherence to FDA regulations and other governing agencies.
• Conduct interviews and select candidates; ensure timely hiring of qualified personnel.
• Provide insights for departmental budgeting, planning, projects, and resource needs.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Over 4 years of experience in customer support.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Experience in the diagnostics field or a laboratory environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with regulations and standards related to IVDs and Biologics is preferred.
• Candidates must reside within the Texas and New Mexico region.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays.
