This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Evaluate approved work requests and transform them into comprehensive work orders.
• Specify job scope, work procedures, technical directives, required crafts, labor hours, and skill levels.
• Assess the needs for materials, parts, tools, equipment, and contractor assistance.
• Formulate actionable job plans and finalize work packages for three designated manufacturing locations.
• Generate material reservations and purchase requisitions.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Stores to guarantee material readiness and proper staging.
• Recognize necessary permits, safety measures, hazards, and risk management strategies.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, environmental, quality, and corporate safety standards.
• Maintain planned backlogs and verify that work orders satisfy Ready-to-Schedule criteria.
• Prioritize planning efforts based on risk factors, production impacts, safety considerations, regulatory obligations, PM due dates, and site priorities.
• Review and rectify aging, incomplete, duplicate, or inaccurately scoped work orders.
• Collaborate with Gatekeepers, Local Work Owners, Schedulers, Supervisors, Operations, Engineering, EHS, Procurement, Stores, and contractors.
• Engage in planning, backlog, readiness, and scheduling meetings.
• Update and standardize job plans, templates, work packages, equipment records, bills of material, and parts references.
• Contribute to reliability and maintenance enhancement initiatives.
• Background in maintenance, operations, technical trades, maintenance planning, or maintenance supervision in an industrial or manufacturing context.
• Robust technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or industrial maintenance systems.
• Capability to read and interpret drawings, manuals, equipment documentation, procedures, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency with CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP PM, Maximo, Infor, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities to handle multiple priorities across assigned locations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with site personnel and cross-functional support teams.
• Familiarity with maintenance work management processes: work identification, planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
• Ability to assist multiple facilities within a centralized planning framework.
• Willingness to travel periodically to assigned locations.
• Technical certification, skilled trade qualification, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field is preferred.
• Experience in maintenance planning processes and managing planned backlogs is preferred.
• Background in supporting multiple locations or a centralized maintenance organization is preferred.
• Experience in creating standard job plans and reusable maintenance work packages is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, work permits, lockout/tagout, and regulatory standards is preferred.
• Experience in coordinating materials, procurement, stores, contractor support, or rental equipment is preferred.
• Understanding of preventive, predictive, condition-based, and reliability-centered maintenance is preferred.
• Familiarity with planning and scheduling performance metrics is preferred.
• Familiarity with process safety management and mechanical integrity requirements in chemical or process manufacturing is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be willing to undergo a drug test and background investigation.
• May be subject to periodic background checks under CFATS or other regulatory requirements.
• Required to have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
