Mainframe Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee project management for software migration initiatives for clients utilizing the IBM Z platform.

• Collaborate with management and evaluate project proposals to define objectives, timelines, budget constraints, procedures, and resource distribution.

• Assess project management requirements and deliver project planning and execution, which includes the creation of project plans.

• Update the leadership team on project activities, scope modifications, challenges, and requirements.

• Maintain communication with internal management and clients regarding project status, milestones, and associated risks.

• Examine and evaluate processes and procedures to uncover opportunities for enhancements and increased efficiency.

• Lead the implementation of process improvements.

• Monitor, evaluate, and enhance program best practices and quality processes for the client account.

• Travel to client locations throughout North America as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in technical project management.

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is required.

• Proven knowledge of operational and project management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in managing cross-functional technical teams.

• Comprehensive responsibility for managing project scope, costs, schedules, and contractual commitments, including planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.

• Strong negotiation capabilities.

• Capacity to prioritize competing tasks and adapt to changes.

• Experience with IBM Z Mainframe.

• Familiarity with IBM Z software products, particularly in relation to ISV Product replacement with IBM offerings.
