Mainframe Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create, document, program, and provide support for tools aimed at the Mainframe development community, focusing mainly on the Claims Application.

• Set up CICS table entries for new programs, transactions, and files.

• Oversee project designs and implementation strategies.

• Engage in the analysis, design, programming, and implementation stages throughout the project lifecycle.

• Assist the Mainframe development community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expert in COBOL, DYL280, DB2, CICS, and JCL within a z/OS setting.

• Skilled in creating CICS table entries for new programs, transactions, and files.

• Familiarity with z/OS, DB2 for z/OS, ISPF, TSO/E, VSAM, JCL, IBM Utilities, and PDS/PDSE dataset formats.

• Understanding of project design considerations related to interfacing with distributed applications.

• Proven experience in coordinating project designs and implementation strategies.

• Background in project lifecycle phases such as analysis, design, programming, and implementation.

• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

• Proficient in English at an advanced level.

• Experience in team leadership is advantageous.
