This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and assist with Endevor and other SCM tools for DBB/Git/IDD migration initiatives.
• Execute installation, configuration, and problem-solving tasks for DBB/Git/IDD on client systems.
• Analyze, convert, and validate applications within Endevor.
• Offer technical support and troubleshoot issues related to DBB/Git/IDD.
• Facilitate customer training sessions and create presentation materials for DBB/Git/IDD and migration methodologies.
• Collaborate with IBM internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
• Record migration procedures, best practices, and technical solutions.
• Guide clients through SCM conversion processes while providing hands-on migration assistance.
• Help clients identify and resolve conversion-related issues.
• Over 8 years of experience as a Systems Programmer or in a comparable role.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical knowledge.
• More than 4 years of customer-facing consulting experience.
• Strong foundation in application development or system programming.
• Documented experience in installation and migration on IBM z/OS.
• Exceptional customer interaction and communication abilities.
• Strong skills in problem determination and troubleshooting, especially concerning IMU.
• Proficient in Groovy scripting.
• Familiarity with YAML.
• Experience with Git, including repository management.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, with the capability to debug failed pipelines/builds.
• Understanding of branching strategies.
• Capacity to conduct DBB/Git/IDD training sessions.
• Experience in preparing and delivering technical presentations using Microsoft Word and other standard tools.
• Ability to assist clients in diagnosing and resolving conversion-related errors.
• Experience in application development, application lifecycle management, or change management is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience in mainframe modernization, SCM, and DBB/Git/IDD is preferred.
• Capability to work independently or as part of a global team.
