Machine Learning Intern/Co-op

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, development, and assessment of machine learning models for AI products, AI services, and foundational ML models.

• Engage in subprojects aligned with the current ML product roadmap, focusing on enhancing models through innovative techniques.

• Collaborate with MLOps and platform teams to develop and refine ML pipelines.

• Take part in experimental design, analysis, design reviews, technical discussions, and journal clubs.

• Work alongside scientists, engineers, and product managers to convert clinical requirements into scalable ML solutions.

• Contribute to ongoing projects that influence PathAI’s technical strategy and business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an M.S. or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering, focusing on Computer Vision and Machine Learning.

• Proficient programming skills in Python.

• Practical experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Familiarity with the principles of machine learning and/or computer vision.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Eagerness to thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional setting.

• Commitment to enhancing patient lives.

• Previous experience with complex open-source projects and AI-driven products is advantageous.

• Involvement in student organizations and/or leadership roles is a plus.

• Contributions to AI/ML publications are preferred.

• Willingness to commit to a 3–6 month internship/co-op; a duration of 4–6 months is preferred.
