Machine Learning Engineer – IV, Computer Vision

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and development of computer vision systems specifically for biometrics, including face attributes, detection, quality, and recognition.

• Conduct thorough fairness analysis and benchmarking of biometric models across diverse datasets and operational conditions.

• Architect, train, and fine-tune models utilizing PyTorch, TensorFlow, and/or JAX.

• Take ownership of and enhance end-to-end ML pipelines, managing everything from data ingestion to deployment. Design automated pipelines (using Airflow) for data ingestion and cleansing, ensuring balanced training sets and generating synthetic data to bridge quality and diversity gaps.

• Production Engineering: Manage the transition to production. Optimize models for low-latency inference (through techniques such as quantization, distillation, TensorRT/ONNX) and oversee deployment on AWS.

• Mentor ML engineers, perform code/design reviews, and promote technical best practices within the Computer Vision team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the Machine Learning industry, including at least 3 years focused on Biometrics or Face Analysis.

• Deep knowledge in computer vision and biometrics, particularly in face recognition.

• Fairness & Ethics: You are aware of the sources of algorithmic bias in Computer Vision and possess practical experience in measuring and mitigating disparate impacts.

• Strong Engineering: Advanced proficiency in Python, including machine learning and vision libraries such as Pillow, OpenCV, and PyTorch. You consistently write clean, modular, production-ready code.

• Systems Architecture: Proven experience in designing end-to-end ML pipelines (from data to training to deployment) and working with workflow orchestrators like Airflow.

• Cloud Native: Practical experience in scaling training jobs on multi-GPU clusters and deploying services on AWS (including SageMaker, EC2, EKS).
