This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning solutions, which encompass data pipelines, model architectures, and serving integrations, to address practical challenges within the ads organization.

• Define and scope vague modeling issues from fundamental principles.

• Convert business insights into clearly defined machine learning research pathways with specific evaluation criteria.

• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and infrastructure engineers to build impactful machine learning applications.

• Enhance and evolve algorithms and models to boost operational efficiency.

• Publish and present research findings internally.

• Contribute to technical excellence through design reviews, sharing of research papers, and retrospective analyses of experiments.

• Develop and improve Instacart’s advertising systems across consumer-facing interfaces and the Ads Ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate degree (master’s or PhD) in machine learning, statistics, computer science, information retrieval, or a closely related quantitative discipline.

• Proficient programming skills.

• Proficiency in SQL, Spark, and Pandas.

• Knowledge of classical machine learning and deep learning frameworks.

• Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
