Senior ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop and construct essential ML models and pipelines for a new ML/AI initiative.

• Create a real-time ML payment-routing and decision-making system with a direct impact on revenue.

• Engage in hands-on experimentation from concept development through A/B testing to deployment.

• Incorporate advanced AI technologies.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Platform teams to address modeling challenges.

• Establish organized training and analytics pipelines.

• Present technical findings to engineers and various cross-functional stakeholders.

• Assist in building the ML/AI function, team, and standards from the ground up.

• Handle over 20 million orders and 100 million transactions monthly, along with 100+ payment methods and providers.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–5+ years of experience in ML or Data Science.

• Practical experience in production with classical predictive models, including credit scoring, fraud detection, risk assessment, recommendations, or pricing.

• Proven history of delivering ML models from inception to production in a real product setting.

• Capability to showcase business impact in terms of conversion rates, approval rates, losses, or revenue generation.

• Solid foundation in data science principles.

• Practical experience with A/B testing and experimental design.

• Proficient in feature engineering with high-cardinality transactional data.

• Ability to work autonomously in a greenfield environment and take ownership of delivery.

• Excellent communication skills and ease in collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Experience in fintech, payments, fraud prevention, or risk management is a plus.

• Familiarity with real-time or low-latency ML serving is an advantage.

• A master's or PhD in a quantitative field is preferable.
